  • 2025 - 2025 Warming Shelters
    On September 23, Governor Janet Mills and MaineHousing announced $2.3 million in state grants to support the operation of 12 overnight emergency warming centers in seven Maine counties this winter.

  • RFQ - Home For Good Projects
    Governor Mills and the Maine State Legislature have provided funding for the Home for Good Program to facilitate the delivery of support and stabilization services to residents of properties established or developed to provide permanent housing to address chronic homelessness in the State. This RFQ was established by MaineHousing to select Developer/ Owner/Manager/Service Provider Teams to develop and operate Home for Good Projects. The Deadline for submissions is January 22, 2026 @ 5pm.

  • RFP - Technical Assistance Related to Multifamily Housing
    MaineHousing is requesting proposals requesting proposals from experienced, qualified, and professional companies who can provide technical assistance to new or inexperienced developers; conduct outreach and training sessions; assist entities including, but not limited to, municipalities and regional economic development groups that are interested in working with a developer to provide housing; and assist MaineHousing when technical assistance is needed with regards to new programs or special situations. Deadline for submissions is December 16, 2025 @ 5pm.
  • 2026 RFQ to Administer a Community Aging in Place Grant Program
    MaineHousing is requesting is requesting proposals from experienced, qualified, and professional companies who can provide client intake and assessments, schedule home repair work for eligible units, and conduct final assessments and inspections in those units. Deadline for submissions is December 16, 2025 @ 5pm.

  • HEAP Announcement
    MaineHousing’s Home Energy Assistance Program (HEAP) is open and accepting applications. Although federal funding for this season was delayed by the recent federal government shutdown, MaineHousing received confirmation this week that federal funds are anticipated to be delivered by the end of November. More details in the full post.
  • Notice of Public Comment - Recovery Housing Program Annual Performance Report
    MaineHousing has prepared a report of its Federal FY2025 State of Maine Recovery Housing Program Activities covering the period of October 1, 2024 through September 20, 2025. MaineHousing is accepting public comment on the Recovery Housing Program Annual Report. Comments must be received by MaineHousing no later than 5pm on November 25, 2025.

  • Save The Date - Affordable Housing Conference
    Join us for the 2025 Maine Affordable Housing Conference as we discuss the future of affordable housing in Maine. The conference will be held in Bangor at the Cross Insurance Center on Tuesday, September 9, 2025.
  • ESHAP New Provider Information Session
    MaineHousing’s Homeless Initiative Department will be holding an online information session for any agencies that are interested in applying for the Emergency Shelter and Housing Assistance Program (ESHAP) for the first time in 2026. Attendance at this information session will be a prerequisite to application; interested agencies must have a representative attend in order to be eligible to apply.
  • 2025-2026 Notice of Funding Availability for Winter Overnight Warming Shelters
    MaineHousing is allocating the last remaining flexible funds to address the issue of unsheltered homelessness during the winter months of 2025-26. This Notice of Funding Availability invites applications for funding of overnight warming shelters to become operational by November 15, 2025 and operate until April 30, 2026. Deadline for submission is August 29, 2025 @ 5pm.

    The Maine State Housing Authority proposes to issue tax-exempt single family mortgage bonds and notes in one or more series pursuant to a plan of financing, as contemplated by Section 147(f)(2)(C) of the Internal Revenue Code, to finance, to replace amounts to be used to redeem single family mortgage bonds issued to finance, and to redeem single family mortgage bonds that were used to finance, the acquisition, construction and improvement of owneroccupied residences in the State of Maine.
