Notice of Public Hearing on Proposed Issuance of Tax-Exempt Bonds for Multi-family Housing

BOND SIZE:  Maine State Housing Authority (“MaineHousing”) intends to issue up to $216,100,000 of tax-exempt bonds (the “Bonds”), in one or more series or in conjunction with other series, including a common plan of finance as contemplated by Section 147(f)(2)(c) of the Internal  Revenue Code, the proceeds of which will be used  to: (1)  redeem and  refund certain tax- exempt facility bonds of MaineHousing, the proceeds of which were used to finance qualified residential rental projects described below (the “Projects”); (2) finance the Projects and reimburse interim financing of MaineHousing for the Projects; (3) reimburse qualified costs incurred with respect to Projects; and (4) finance the costs of issuance, reserve funds and other valid purposes of MaineHousing.
