  • Notice of Funding Availability for The Student Homelessness Prevention Pilot
    The Student Homelessness Prevention Pilot was established by 2024 Public Law and was funded with $2 million to allow MaineHousing to create a program that provides housing subsidies directly to families of homeless students. This NOFA seeks applicants to administer the Program in their School Administrative Unit (SAU) or as a collaborative effort of multiple SAUs.     Governor Mills and the Maine State Legislature have provided $1,500,000 in funding to MaineHousing, through 2023 Public Law Chapter 412, Section LLL-1, for “the acquisition of land or real property to support the creation of certified recovery residences under sections 20054 and 20057 that provide services to parents or guardians recovering from substance use disorder and their minor children”.
