2026 - 2027 Warming Shelters

MaineHousing has awarded $2,722,538 to 12 organizations to provide 474 beds at short-term warming shelters this winter. The following warming centers will operate during the 2026-2027 winter season, open 11/15/2026 and close 4/30/2027: 

• Alter L/A- Lewiston
• Augusta Emergency Overnight Warming Center- Augusta
• Bangor Area Homeless Shelter- Bangor
• Brick Church- Bangor
• Healthy Acadia- Ellsworth
• HOME Inc.- Orland
• Homeless Services of Aroostook- Presque Isle
• Mid- Maine Homeless Shelter- Waterville
• Seeds of Hope- Biddeford
• Seeds of Hope- Portland
• State St Church- Portland
• Tedford- Brunswick
