2024 RFQ to establish a Housing First Program
Funds have been provided to establish a Housing First Program. MaineHousing is requesting qualifications to select Developer/ Owner/Manager/Service Provider Teams to develop and operate site-based housing with 24-hour on-site staffing support for people experiencing chronic homelessness (“Housing First”). Deadline for submission is January 16, 2025 @ 5pm.
RFQ to Administer a Community Aging in Place Grant Program
MaineHousing is requesting proposals from experienced, qualified, and professional companies who can provide client intake and assessments, schedule home repair work for eligible units, and conduct final assessments and inspections in those units. Deadline for submission is December 16, 2024 @ 5pm.

The Student Homelessness Prevention Pilot
The Student Homelessness Prevention Pilot was established by 2024 Public Law and was funded with $2 million to allow MaineHousing to create a program that provides housing subsidies directly to families of homeless students. This NOFA seeks applicants to administer the Program in their School Administrative Unit (SAU) or as a collaborative effort of multiple SAUs. Deadline for submission has been amended to December 6, 2024 @ 5pm.
Public Hearing - 2025 DOE State Plan
MaineHousing will hold a public hearing to receive comments on the proposed U.S. Department of Energy Weatherization Assistance Program State Plan for Fiscal Year 2025 at 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday, November 19, 2024.

2023 State of Maine Housing Study
The passage of LD 2003 required the state to set specific housing production goals. Over the past year, the State of Maine DECD, the Governor's Office of Policy Innovation and the Future, and MaineHousing engaged an outside consultant to conduct a comprehensive housing needs analysis to assess the availability and affordability of housing in the state.
