Notice of Public Comment - Administrative Plan and the PHA 5yr Plan

STATE OF MAINE
NOTICE OF PUBLIC COMMENT

SUBSTANTIAL AMENDMENT TO THE
ADMINISTRATIVE PLAN FOR
SECTION 8 HOUSING CHOICE VOUCHER AND
PROJECT-BASED VOUCHER PROGRAMS
and
PHA 5 YEAR PLAN

The Maine State Housing Authority has prepared a draft revision of the Administrative Plan adopted in 2013 and a draft of the PHA 5 Year Plan, both of which are required by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development for MaineHousing to administer the Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher and Project-Based Voucher Programs.

The Administrative Plan sets forth MaineHousing’s policies for the operation of the Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher and Project-Based Housing programs in the context of federal laws and regulations.

The draft PHA 5 Year Plan was developed in consultation with MaineHousing’s Resident Advisory Board and provides information on current programs and the resident population served, as well as strategies for addressing the housing needs of currently assisted families and the larger community.

MaineHousing shall hold a public hearing to receive comments on both documents on September 23, 2014 at 9:30 a.m. at the Maine State Housing Authority at 353 Water Street, Augusta. The revised Administrative Plan and draft PHA 5 Year Plan are available for inspection at MaineHousing’s offices in Augusta and on MaineHousing’s webpage: www.mainehousing.org. Written comments will be accepted through the close of the public hearing on September 23, 2014. If you would like to make a comment, please direct your communication to:
